Evaluation of the impact of training which is being delivered as a pilot exercise to CHAS' staff and other relevant NHS staff in paediatric critical care. The training is based around skills in recognising conflict situations between clinicians and parents, and between clinicians themselves, over the treatment of children with life-shortening complex conditions. The aim will be to evaluate skills and confidence levels among staff prior to the training, their immediate feedback after the event, and a 6 month follow-up evaluation to assess how the training has informed their practice, and if/how those new skills have been implemented and effected change in how conflicts are addressed.
