Abstract

In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated the adaptation of Gray's School of Art annual degree show into a digital format. This short film uses interviews with staff, students and other key stakeholders who lived through that experience to explore the process involved in adapting the degree show onto an ambitious virtual platform. The interviews detail how creative and pedagogical approaches evolved in order to achieve the successful launch of the virtual degree show, and asks those involved how it affected them emotionally - and, for students, how it affected their practice upon graduation. The film was produced for the "Creative Resilience: Art Adapts" online event held on the 19th November 2020 by the Council for Higher Education in Art and Design ( https://www.chead.ac.uk/events/creative-resilience-art-adapts/ ).
