MSME’s contribute considerably to the economic growth of most countries around the globe. An unprecedented record of 95 percent of enterprises across the world are MSMEs. Female entrepreneurs form 23-35% of this group of entrepreneurs (MSME's). Female entrepreneurs face a number of challenges from socio-cultural, political, unfavourable business environment, lack of access to finance etc. My research aims to contribute to this debate. While there are common challenges amongst female entrepreneurs globally, national differences also abound.
