Biography Madeleine is a senior lecturer and the research degrees coordinator for Gray’s School of Art at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. She is head of stage 1 BA (Hons) Fashion Management and teaches a range of subjects including fashion business, communication and creative project management. Madeleine is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), acknowledged for her leadership in research methods teaching, teaching of professional skills and subject expertise in fashion management and media.

Madeleine's main research interests centre around fashion and its impact on contemporary culture and identity, for example in her home context of Scotland and also in the digital world through social media platforms.

Madeleine completed her PhD in 2019 entitled 'Scottish style: the construction of Scottish identity amongst fashion and style influencers on Instagram' and was awarded an IFFTI initiative award for this research as part of their 2019 conference proceedings.

Madeleine has experience in supervising and examining doctoral students and she welcomes applications from prospective doctoral candidates in media and fashion related topics.
