Project Title Assessing the legal measures that promote breastfeeding in kenya
Project Description The LLM research project scrutinizes the effectiveness of the Breast Milk Substitute Act (BMS) in Kenya, focusing on its role in promoting breastfeeding. The study assesses the challenges encountered during the implementation of the BMS Act and highlights the adverse impact of inadequate secondary support systems on mothers and children. Furthermore, it examines breastfeeding as a reproductive right within the legal framework of Kenya. The project concludes with practical recommendations aimed at enhancing breastfeeding promotion strategies and support systems in Kenya, ultimately advocating for improved maternal and child health outcomes.
