Best practices for the deployment of new technologies: investigating the psychological dimension. Innovation Culture Benchmarking Survey.

People Involved

Project Description

Despite industry efforts to increase innovation activities, and a need to accelerate innovation, there appears to be a resistance to adopt new technology. Organisational culture can have a significant impact on how people respond to and introduce technology into their organisation.

This project developed a new preliminary innovation adoption culture questionnaire. It was deployed as part of an industry benchmarking study of innovation adoption culture within oil and gas with 12 companies. Participating organisations were given the opportunity to receive a snapshot of their technology adoption culture.
