Abstract

In the current climate Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are dealing with centralizing and diminishing resources with reduced infrastructure outweighed by increasing student numbers. HEIs are looking to enhance efficiency of resource with automated timetable procedures becoming the norm, but does this come at a cost to quality? A baseline measurement of survey of previous maths/physics experience and confidence in required maths skills and a maths test in week one was undertaken.
