Project Title Critical Analysis of female entrepreneurship and Access to finance
Project Description In the history of any developing economy, entrepreneurship has been shown to drive economic growth by discovering opportunities and utilising those opportunities to effectively remove the fluctuations in the market economy, through tested entrepreneurial strategies thus growing national social capital. MSME’s contribute considerably to the economic growth of most countries around the globe. An unprecedented record of 95 percent of enterprises across the world are MSMEs. Female entrepreneurs form 23-35% of this group of entrepreneurs (MSME's). Female entrepreneurs face a number of challenges from socio-cultural, political, unfavourable business environment, lack of access to finance etc. My research aims to contribute to this debate. While there are common challenges amongst female entrepreneurs globally, national differences also abound.
