Project Description

This study will explore the social practices that inform visitor engagement in prison museums. Adopting a conversation analysis methodology the social interaction of visitors, how they talk about and interact in the social and spatial environment, will be investigated to explore how negotiation, interpretation and meaning is elicited within prison exhibitions.
